Her new title will be Miss Adele Adkins MBE, which stands for member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire $ T5 `1 N" t3 m; E' R* X7 z9 B6 y$ c( I" X- \0 e
The 25-year-old singer has achieved huge success over the past two years with the release of her second album '21'.: c p) D' q- V$ D; \+ E' E

The record topped the charts in more than 30 countries and was number one in the UK for 23 weeks, selling more than seven million copies in the country. 0 g8 K7 v4 z' y5 e# t8 S; m+ k4 \5 K/ M6 [, u, ^
It was certified diamond after 24 weeks at the top spot in the US. % f. V4 X) a4 w! N, m& B* G( F# I9 N8 E2 E: c
Adele is now a global pop superstar and also won an Academy Award in February for her James Bond theme song 'Skyfall'. $ D$ ?7 s# B8 u. N; T.
